Time to find a way

A tear in her eye
All of us should cry
Innocence lost
No greater cost
To humanity

What more to do
What more to say
No matter who
Time to find a way
To make it better

Let's cry for them all
Those hurt in the fall
For all that's good and great
Humanity at stake

Make a stand for what's right
Let's not lose sight
Of what matters
Goodness in shatters

Time to redeem
No matter what it may seem
The birth right of us all
No time to stall

Beginning with a whisper...

News reporting everywhere
So much death and destruction
So many suffering
Too many dying
I can't stop crying

Change beginning with a whisper
From deep in our hearts
Winds begin to churn
The season starts to turn

Providence unfolds
Miracles untold
For they are yet to be
Can't you see?

Whispering winds of change
In the air
Everywhere
The tide is turning
Souls are yearning
For peace

A tidal wave of good
Leaving in it's wake
Only what is great
All of us living
In harmony
A symphony

In Every Breath

In every breath
Possibilty
Feeling, thinking, knowing
All of it flowing
Together in time
Removing all the obstacles
Created by negative thinking
Manifested in the body
In dis ease

Expressions of love
Removing dark presence
Allowing divine essence
To flow

When focused in the present
Clear in knowing
Of the Truth
G-d's divine being
In every breath

Dear Mary

You were his inspiration
This was surely true
You had hold of his heart
He wanted to live for you

He had a hard time accepting
That he could not control
Although not regretting
Because he had lived life well
Filling his time
With great loves
Joys and adventure
Always with the best in mind
For fellow humankind

Where had life gone?
How fast it all had passed
He thought
But what a ride I had!
He just wished
That he could do it all again

But then, he considered, there's Mary
Maybe there's still some life to live
Some happiness still to come
He wondered
Was it possible?
Was it asking too much?
Could this really be mine
At the age of eighty-nine?
He decided to try
And try he did

Alas, it was not to be
This day he did not see
But, dear Mary
Please be aware
Oh, he did so care
About you

Within My Essence

So much death, grief and sadness
Where to put it all, I say
In G-d, of course
But how to find the way?

Not always so easy
Though it seems it should be so
When one truly believes
Shouldn't we just know?
But for whatever reason
Not happening quite so easy
Swaying to and fro in the chaos
I often get quite queasy

I lift my head
I fix my feet
Shoulders pulled back
Standing very tall
For what more can I do
Then stay strong in the face of it all

I could buckle and fall
Anytime anyone of us
We could lose it all
The grim reality
Of the fragility of life

I begin to pray
Ahh...here it is
Once again I see the way
As the fog clears

I become calm within the strife
When I honor G-d's presence
Connecting to the power
Within my very essence
